In the final match of Punjab Information Technology Board’s (PITB) Annual Cricket Tournament 2023, the Shaheens defeated the defending champions Agile by 15 runs to become new champions.In the 5-over final match of the tournament, Shaheens batted first and set 116-run target.
While chasing the massive target, the Agile team fell short of 15 runs and scored 100 runs.Shaheens’ all-rounder Kamran Ali won the Player of the Tournament and Man of the Match awards while Irshad from the Agile was declared the best bowler of the tournament.
Eight distinguished teams from different departments of PITB participated in the two-day tournament.
In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf remarked that such activities must be organized regularly for the physical development of employees along with work. He went on to add that such events will be organized more frequently in future to promote positive sports activities in the institution.
Chairman Faisal Yousaf commended PITB Additional Director General (ADG) Nisar Ahmed and Director Admin Aquil Khan for the excellent organization of the tournament. He distributed trophies and prizes among the winning and runner-up team.
