Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman chaired the 15th meeting of King Edward Medical University in Lahore today.
The meeting accorded approval various important issues including revised budget 2022-23 and 2023-24.
Addressing the meeting, the Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman research and development is the main work of universities. He stressed Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation to extend the scope of commercialisation with other institutions.
He said that KEMU should be role model in rebotics surgery and all out assistance will be provided in this regard.
He also lauded the role of KEMU in flood relief mission.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor KEMU Professor Mahmood Ayaz briefed the meeting about development projects and performance of nine hospitals affiliated with KEMU.
Later the Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman inaugurated archive gallery, artificial intelligence lab and over head bridge of KEMU.
