Women’s mushaira held under the ICD Pb, Majlis Tarakee Adab Urdu in connection with Int’l Women’s Day

A women’s mushaira held under the aiges of Punjab Culture and Information Department and Majlis Tarakee Adab Urdu in connection with International Women’s Day in Lahore today.

According to Al-Hamara, over ten female poets participated in the mushaira.

Additional Secretary Information and Culture and Executive Director Lahore Art Council (Al-Hamra) Nazia Jabin was the special guest on this occasion.Speaking on the occasion, she termed poetry as a means of expressing human feelings, experiences and observations.She further said that writing a good poem is a tantamount to serve the society.

Nazia Jabin said that young poets give a message of love and security to the readers because literature is a training ground for both the society and for the individual.She said that women are also not behind anyone in the field of poetry.

Nazia Jabin said that identifying social problems is a difficult task to do in the language of words and our poets are doing it well.
