Police arrested dozens of Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers for violating Section 144. There is a heavy presence of police and anti-rights forces outside Zaman Park. Roads were sealed by placing containers, Canal Road was also closed, queues of vehicles formed on the roads, citizens were trapped.
On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Insaf challenged the implementation of Section 144 in the Lahore High Court. In the petition filed by Hamad Azhar, DC Lahore and others, parties were made, who held that the implementation of Section 114 is illegal.
