Caretaker Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Dr Javed Akram says provision of best healthcare services to patients in public hospitals is top priority of caretaker government.
He stated this while addressing the inaugural session of the Vice Chancellors, Principals and MS Conference at a local hotel in Lahore today.
He said that as per the vision of caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, facility of primary angioplasty for patients in cardiac hospital has proved as game changer. He said that moe than eight thousand patients had undergone the process of angioplasty.
He said directed officials to complete the health screening of healthcare professionals. He said we are trying to complete the human resource (HR) in public hospitals.
He said that health screening in educational institutions will be proved game changer.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr Jamal Nasir said that public service is only agenda of caretaker government. He said that Primary and Secondary Healthcare department is serving the people round the clock.
Provincial Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan said that we are outsourcing various services in public hospitals for the ease of patients. He said we are trying to ensure availability of biomedical and non biomedical equipments.
He directed officials that there will be no shortage of medicine in the hospitals.
The conference also reviewed th performance of public teaching hospitals.
