On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the fifth meeting of the sub-cabinet committee on law and order was held in Lahore today, chaired by Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique.
During the meeting, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique conducted a detailed review of the law and order situation across the province, security arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha and other matters.
On this occasion, the relevant officers, commissioners, and RPOs briefed the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that law and order are being ensured across the province.
He stated that action will continue against drug dealers, kite-making factories and electricity thieves across the province.
During the meeting, approval was granted to form JITs on various incidents. Approval was also given to release ten prisoners on parole.
Resources were approved for the administration of Lahore and Rawalpindi for the New Zealand cricket series.
