Indian counterpart welcomes Bilawal’s participation in SCO meeting

GOA: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting, where he was welcomed by his Indian counterpart.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar welcomed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on his arrival to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting in Goa.

Earlier, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while reacting to the handshake of the two leaders, said that the handshake between Bilawal and Jaishankar is a normal formality.

On the other hand, the foreign minister has said that a peaceful and stable Afghanistan is not only necessary for regional and economic cooperation but also for peace in the region.

He said that Pakistan continues to play a leadership role in all international forums. “When major powers play the role of peacemaker, we can pave the way for greater cooperation, regional integration, and economic opportunity for our people,” he asserted.
