LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has been advised by medical professionals to take complete rest in order to avoid any further complications with his affected leg.

According to multiple media reports, the medical board at Shaukat Khanum Hospital has warned that the increased swelling could pose a risk of infection, which could ultimately lead to another surgery.

The medical board has also directed Imran Khan to use a wheelchair for any non-routine movement to avoid any extra pressure on his feet, which could exacerbate his condition. The advice comes after Imran Khan was rushed to hospital following an episode of inflammation in his feet, which occurred due to pressure.

Sources close to the PTI chief revealed that he experienced the pressure during his appearance at the Lahore High Court (LHC) earlier today, which resulted in severe swelling. The medical professionals have advised him to take complete rest in order to avoid any further complications and to ensure that his condition does not deteriorate any further.

“Dr. Iftikhar Durrani, Khan’s close aide, stated that Khan’s injured leg was a result of a stampede that occurred in the Lahore High Court on Tuesday. Despite repeatedly raising security concerns with the authorities, it appears that there are evident conspiracies to harm Imran Khan and remove him from his path. It seems that the perpetrators are willing to use any means necessary to achieve their goals.
