Karachi Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) office located at Karachi’s main artery, Shahrah-e-Faisal came under attack and reportedly two personal including a cop embraced martyrdom.
The security forces cleared the Karachi Police office building after intensive gun battle between forces and terrorists.Police said all three terrorists shot dead.
President, Prime Minister, Interior Minister, Sindh Chief Minister, Sindh Governor, Chief Secretary and IG condemn the attack and praised the same security forces for swift operation against terrorists.
There were reports of heavy exchange of firing near the police head office located near the Financial Trade Center (FTC) on main Shahrae Faisal.
It is pertinent to note that the locality where the firing was reported is a densely populated area and the Saddar Police Station and Police Lines are also located nearby.the firing reportedly took place at a time when security is already on high-alert in the city following the arrival of international cricket players for Pakistan Super League and the recently concluded international naval military exercise Aman 2023.
