Attack on Karachi Police Office, Interior Minister shares details

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office.

ISLAMABAD (17 Feb 2023): Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has shared details of the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Head Office located on Shahrah Faisal, the main road of Karachi.

Speaking exclusively to ARY News, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that according to initial reports, 6 to 7 terrorists came in a vehicle, threw grenades, and entered the building. Currently, the terrorists are on the third floor and the operation clean-up is ongoing.

Earlier, the Interior Minister said in a statement that the Karachi Police Chief was not present at the time of the attack. The building has been cordoned off by police and rangers. Efforts are being made to neutralize the terrorists.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office.

The Prime Minister has taken strict notice of the terrorist attack. A report of the incident has also been sought from the Chief Minister of Sindh. The PM has also appreciated the valiant efforts of the police and security forces for their strong action against terrorists.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah to provide full cooperation to the federal government in the operation clean-up against terrorists.“To end the scourge of terrorism, the entire state power and cooperation must be used”: Prime Minister.
