Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has refused to recognize Pakistan Sunni Tehreek as a political party.
Instead of giving their party symbol to the candidates of Sunni Tehreek contesting elections in 7 provincial constituencies of Faisalabad, as independent candidates, 6 candidates were allotted a table lamp and one election symbol was allotted a drum.
Convener of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Faisalabad Professor Muhammad Asif Raza Qadri said that the inappropriate behavior of Election Commission is beyond our understanding.
