Washington: Geoffrey Hinton, considered the godfather of artificial intelligence, quit his job at Google, warning against his own technology.

According to media reports, computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton said in his statement that artificial intelligence technology is more dangerous than expected, chatbots will be more intelligent than us.

Geoffrey Hinton, who has worked on artificial intelligence for half a century, apologized for his creation but also said that if he hadn’t done it, someone else would have done it.

Google has also fired one of its software engineers, Blake Lemony, who raised concerns over the company’s artificial intelligence system, calling it sensitive.

Earlier, more than a thousand technologists have also declared artificial intelligence as a threat to humanity.
