KARACHI: Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi started their practice on Thursday here National Bank Arena ahead of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.
Under the captaincy of Imad Wasim, Karachi Kings’ squad did hard training in the ground. Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting, Mohammad Amir, Haider Ali, Sharjeel Khan, Mir Hamza, Aamir Yamin, Mohammad Umar and other players did bowling, batting and fielding practice.
Opner batter Sharjeel Khan was looking fitter than before.
On the other side, Peshawar Zalmi also did optional bowling, batting, and field training session. Zalmi’s ex-captain and now head coach Darren Sammy oversaw the training session which was attended by bowler Salman Iqbal and Arshad Iqbal and young batters Mohammad Haris and Saim Ayub.
Zalmi’s captain Babar Azam did his batting training in the afternoon here today. Then Babar has left for Rawalpindi to attend Shadab Khan’s wedding reception which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
