Special programme held in connection with Int’l Women Day in Radio Pakistan Lahore

A special programme was held in connection with International Women Day at Radio Pakistan in Lahore today.

In the programme renowned women personalities belonging to different walks of life including former DG Population and and Technicil Adviser Marie Stopes Society Mumtaz Esker, Novelist Amna Mufti, Rabbia Arshad and Sadaf Khalid participated in the program.

Expressing their views in the program, former DG Population and Technicil Adviser Marie Stopes Society Mumtaz Esker said that Marie Stopes Society is working for the reproductive rights of women  in Punjab, KPK, Sindh, ICT and AJK. 

She said that Marie Stopes Society jointly works with the Population and Health departments for the welfare of women. She added that Marie Stopes Society has served more than seven million women in the last decade.

Chief Executive Officer of Tomcheese Sadaf Khalid said that women play pivotal role in the development of society and representation of women is being observed in every field.

Rabbia Arshad said that during Covid-19 women started more starts up and entrepreneur projects which are laudable.

Novelist Amna Mufti said Pakistani women have potential and proven herself in every field. She added that that Pakistani women symbol of bravery.

The participants said the women have transformed this world into an ideal place by using their abilities.

They hailed the rule of women in immortalizing the culture and traditions of the society and said that they are symbols of determination, true passion and great sacrifices.

They said every form and character of women are key for the development and progress of the society and Pakistani women are extremely talented and hardworking.
