Mohsin Naqvi lays foundation stone of Gujranwala University

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi laid the foundation stone of Gujranwala University in Gujranwala today.

Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker CM said that Gujranwala University will be consisted of 961 kanals and over five billion has been estimated for the establishment of Gujranwala University.

He expressed hope that class will be commenced within one year in Gujranwala University.He also directed caretaker Provincial Minister for Education Mansoor Qadir to personally monitor the project.

Earlier, Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi along with caretaker provincial cabinet visited Expressway Motorway Link Road in Gujranwala today and inspected the construction work of the project.

Chief Minister also observed asphalt work of the project and also reviewed the progress on the project that link the Gujranwala through Lahore Sialkot Motorway.

He also observed construction work of 15.2 kilometers carriageway.

It was informed that 65% work of the project has been completed while earth work of carriageway one hundred percent completed.

Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project and lauded the efforts of Commissioner Gujranwala and FWO team.He also directed to speed up the pace of the project and directed to install fence around the carriageway. He expressed his resolve to complete the Gujranwala Lahore Sialkot Motorway in a stipulated period of time. He said that fuel and time will be saved after completion of this project. He said that after completion of this project journey of Lahore to Gujranwala will be only 45 minutes.

On this occasion, Commissioner Gujranwala and Secretary Communication and Works briefed the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister about the project.Colonol Jamal from FWO also briefed the CM.
