ISLAMABAD: The opening ceremony of the international flight tactical exercise ‘Anatolian Eagle 2023’ was held in Konya, Turkey.
F-16 fighter jets of Pakistan Air Force as well as air and ground personnel are also participating in the exercise. The exercise is one of the largest and most complex joint air exercises in the world, with the aim of promoting interoperability between participants as well as providing opportunities for joint training.
The exercise provides an excellent opportunity for participating air forces to test their operational readiness against the backdrop of a real air battle. Apart from Pakistan and Turkey, the air forces of five other countries, including Azerbaijan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, are participating in the seventh edition of the exercise.
In the context of today’s challenging strategic situation and increasing complexity in the security environment, such air exercises provide opportunities for the Pakistan Air Force to improve its capability for joint operations with friendly countries.
