Leader of Edhi Foundation Faisal Edhi called on caretaker Punjab Minister for Health Dr Javed Akram in Lahore today.
Matters of mutual interest and rehabilitation of mental retarded patients were discussed during the meeting.
Later the caretaker Punjab Minister for Health Dr Javed Akram chaired a meeting at Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department in Lahore today.
Faisal Edhi also present during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Punjab Minister for Health Dr Javed Akram said that Punjab government will cooperate with Edhi Center for rehabilitation of mental retarded patients and all out measures will be taken in this regard. He said that re assessment of patients from in Edhi Center Multan is being done again in Institute of Mental Health.
He said Punjab Health Department and Social Welfare and Baitul Mal Department jointly take measures for rehabilitation of mental ill people.
He said that a special summary will be presented to caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for the rehabilitation of mentally retarded patients.
