According to Spokesperson of Energy department, Government of the Punjab has denied false allegation speculated in media regarding Approval of projects for Solarization of off-Grid villages in Punjab worth of Rs 32 Billion. In a statement spokesperson clarified that the Energy Department, Government of the Punjab, has never planned, nor demanded funds amounting to Rs.32.00 Billion for solarization of off-grid villages in Punjab neither for the current financial year 2022-23 nor in the past financial years. He further cleared that also, Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab, had never approved and released subject mentioned amount in any of the ADP schemes of Energy Department during previous financial years or during current financial year 2022-23. Spokesperson cleared that these types of news was not based on the facts, that’s why Energy Department categorically denied these types of news item, being devoid of merit and bereft of facts.
