Anbreen SajidFor the economic stability and social welfare of the workers, Punjab Social Security has started distribution of Punjab Mazdoor Card among the workers. The Provincial Minister of Labor, Ansar Majeed Khan participated as a special guest in Punjab Mazdoor distribution ceremony. Secretary Labor Nabeel Javaid, Commissioner Social Security Anbreen Sajid, Vice Commissioner Punjab Social Security Tariq Mehmood, Secretary Workers Welfare Funds Abdul Rauf, Director General Labor Welfare Muhammad Arshad Manzoor, labour leaders and a large number of workers, Medical Advisor (PESSI) Professor Dr. Sanaullah Khan, Director General Headquarters Muhammad Hassan, Director Admin Nabeel Riaz Sindhu and other officers from Bank of Punjab, Chief of Staff and Strategies Nofal Dawood and other officers participated.Provincial Minister Labour Ansar Majeed Khan said on this occasion that the services of Bank of Punjab for Punjab Mazdoor Card are commendable.. Most of the legislations for the protection of workers were enacted during our regime. Provincial Labour Minister said that our mission is to raise voice for labour and we will continue our mission. Labour Secretary Nabil Javed said that the Punjab Mazdoor Card will bring a revolution in the lives of the workers. Through this card, the minimum wage law can be implemented effectively. The Social Security Commissioner addressed that 12 lakh workers and their 6.8 lakh families will be benefited through Punjab Mazdoor Card.
Punjab Mazdoor Card will be used by workers as an ATM card, debit card and mobile wallet account and for their online.she said that the workers will get discounts on the daily necessities. Commissioner Social Security said that the workers will get 11 types of benefits apart from financial incentives. The purpose of this card is to strengthen the workers’ financially their health and education.
At the end of the ceremony, the cards were also distributed among the workers working in the different factories.
