Court rejected extension for Fawad’s physical remand

The district and sessions court in Islamabad announced its reserved  verdict on extending physical remand of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry.
The judge, however, accepted Fawad Chaudhry’s plea to uncuff him in the courtroom.
The Court rejected the physical remand plea of Police and granted 14-day judicial remand of Fawad Chaudhry.
Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry was presented in the district and sessions court after his two-day physical remand was expired on Friday.
Strict security arrangements have been made and a large force of police has been deployed outside the court.
Fawad Chaudhry’s wife Hiba Fawad also met her husband in the court.
The Islamabad police on Tuesday registered a case against Fawad on the complaint of secretary of Election Commission of Pakistan for “inciting violence against the constitutional institution and threatening the ECP members and their families”.police arrested the PTI leader in the wee hours of Wednesday from his house in Lahore in the sedition case and took him to Islamabad where a local court granted his two-day physical remand which has ended today.
