CJ LHC Distributes Certificates among Judicial Officers Completing Pre-Service Training Course

A ceremony was held at the Punjab Judicial Academy to distribute certificates among judicial officers who completed the pre-service training course. The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, as the chief guest.

The ceremony was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including the Registrar of Lahore High Court, Abdul Rashid Abid, the Director-General of Judicial and Case Management, Tanveer Akbar, the Session Judge of Human Resource, Sajid Ali Awan, DG District Judiciary, Abhar Gul Khan, and other senior officials of the judiciary.Addressing the ceremony, Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, congratulated the newly appointed judicial officers on completing their pre-service training course. He emphasized the importance of their role in the administration of justice and highlighted the need for them to be fearless, impartial, and wise in their decision-making.

The Chief Justice also stressed the need for the judiciary to adapt to modern technology and utilize it to expedite the judicial process and reduce the backlog of cases. He expressed concern over the culture of strikes in the legal fraternity, which hinders the delivery of justice and causes inconvenience to the litigants.

The Chief Justice also announced that the Punjab judiciary is taking steps to address the shortage of judicial officers, with only 1760 judges. However, he noted that there is still a shortage of 800 judicial officers in the province, which needs to be addressed urgently.Earlier, the Director-General of the Punjab Judicial Academy, Abdul Sattar, welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of the pre-service training course in equipping the newly appointed judicial officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates among the judicial officers who completed the pre-service training course. The Chief Justice Lahore High Court distributed the certificates and congratulated the Judical officers on completion of their training.
