Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman inaugurated Solar Panel and Forensic Lecture Theater for Quaid-e-Azam Block with estimated cost of more than eight million rupees at King Edward Medical University, Lahore

Later, the Governor presided over 14th senate meeting of KEMU. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor KEMU apprised the governor about ongoing and completed projects.

The Governor also ratified the proceedings of the previous senate meeting of King Edward Medical University.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that robotic surgery should start from KEMU and every possible support will be provided in this regard. He said that university should establish an endowment fund of five billion rupees which should be spent on the education and training of students.

He directed that university students help flood victims especially children to recover from trauma.

The Governor also lauded the philanthropy work of KEMU and praised the efforts of Vice Chancellor Dr Mahmood Ayaz for the institution.

Vice Chancellor Dr Mahmood Ayaz informed that on the direction of Punjab Governor the KEMU also started a scholarship programme.

During the meeting, Registrar KEMU Dr Riasat Ali presented the reviewed expenditure and budget for approval.
