Occupied Kashmir: Attack on Indian Army, 3 officers injured, 2 dead bodies recovered

Jammu: Three soldiers were seriously injured in an attack by unknown persons on the Indian army in Rajouri district of Occupied Kashmir.

The Indian army has laid siege to more than a dozen villages in Rajouri district of Occupied Kashmir. Retired BSF officer Subhash Maratrao, 44, was found dead in a hotel near Vivekanand Chowk in Jammu city, the Central Reserve Police Force said on Sunday. A head constable was killed by a bullet in Kot Bhalwal Jail of Jammu mysteriously, the dead body of a well-known Kashmiri resident of Rajouri was recovered from Durang Tingmarg area of Baramulla. 158 kanals of land in central and northern Kashmir were given to the Indian Army.

Five houses of the Sikh community and five of the Muslims were burnt to ashes in separate incidents of fire in North Occupied Kashmir. Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has revealed that the Indian Army is taking care of Kashmiri youth in South Kashmir. The parties have expressed serious concern over the plight of Kashmiris imprisoned in various jails in India and Kashmir.

After August 5, 2019, the infrastructure of Occupied Kashmir was neglected as a result of which the people are deprived of basic facilities. Hurriyat leader and head of Dukhtaran Millat, Asia Andrabi, expressing her grave concern over the anti-Kashmir policies of the Modi government, appealed to the United Nations to compel India to grant Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination.

He said that the solution of the Kashmir conflict is indispensable not only for India and Pakistan but also for the lasting peace of occupied Kashmir as well as the entire South Asian region. Asia Andrabi urged the international community to consider the sensitivity of the Kashmir conflict. Put pressure on India for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir conflict according to the resolutions of the United Nations and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He further said that India’s intransigent policy is the biggest obstacle in resolving the Kashmir conflict.
