Cement sector profit down 3%

ISLAMABAD: The profit of the cement sector has recorded a decline of 3 percent on annual basis during the last financial year.

According to the financial statements, in the financial year 2023, the cement companies received a total profit of 50.66 billion rupees, which is 3 percent less compared to the financial year 2022.

In the financial year 2022, cement companies had a profit of Rs 52.12 billion. According to statistics, in the financial year 2023, Lucky will get Rs 13.72 billion, Best Way Cement Rs 12.89 billion, Fuji Rs 7.43 billion, Kohat Cement Rs 5.82 billion, Maple Lee Rs 5.77 billion, Charat Cement Rs 4.40 billion, Pioneer 2.61 billion rupees, Attock 1.51 billion rupees, Garibwal 1.23 billion rupees, Thatta Cement 309 million rupees, Power 169 million rupees, Dewan 587 million rupees and DG Khan profited 3.63 billion rupees.

According to statistics, the profit of Lucky Cement has decreased by 10% on an annual basis, Bestway Cement has increased by 16%, Fuji Cement has increased by 5%, Kohat Cement has increased by 16%, Maple Leaf has increased by 27%, and Charat has decreased by 1%. , Attock increased by 35%, Gharibwal decreased by 9% and Thatta’s profit increased by 258%.
