According to details, this registration process will compile data on the plastic industry in one place.
Through this registration, the goal is to bring the supply side of plastic out of the informal economy and fully integrate it into the formal economy.
This initiative aims not only to control environmental pollution but also to promote transparency in the economy.
Meanwhile, on the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif the Department of Environmental Protection Agency Punjab has intensified efforts to make Punjab plastic-free.
Actions are being taken against the use of polyethylene bags less than 75 microns thick.
