CMPb inaugurates annual “Gul-e-Daoudi” exhibition Lahore today

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the annual “Gul-e-Daoudi” exhibition at Jilani Park, Lahore today.

He also inaugurated the PHA Commercial Nursery at Jilani Park. She saw various types of Gul-e-Daoudi and expressed her interest in their colorful varieties. 

Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Political Affairs Zeeshan Malik also present on this occasion.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also inspected models decorated with Gul-e-Daoudi, including a camel model made of flowers and a flower-laden carriage, posing for pictures in front of them.

The Chief Minister expressed delight upon seeing beautiful Australian parrots and visited various stalls at Jilani Park. She directed the provision of food items to the public at discounted rates.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also inspected the PHA Commercial Nursery, showing interest in “Peace Lily” and air plant species. She was also shown local olive plants and presented with a bonsai pomegranate plant as a gift.

On this occasion , PHA Director General Muhammad Tahir Wattoo briefed her about the Gul-e-Daoudi Exhibition, informing her that the exhibition would continue at Jilani Park for ten days. Around 200 rare and unique varieties of Gul-e-Daoudi have been displayed and a light show featuring decorative lighting will be held every evening.

It was shared that the preparation for the exhibition involves a year-long effort at PHA nurseries. The lifespan of the Gul-e-Daoudi flower is 15 to 20 days with the first week of December being its peak bloom time.

The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that flowers are symbols of peace and love and encouraged people from Lahore and other cities to visit the Gul-e-Daoudi Exhibition.
