Washington: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of India’s major opposition party, Congress, has said that since Narendra Modi has been in power, the country is suffering from chaos, violence, corruption and other problems.
Modi has adopted the aggressive attitude of exterminating the minorities by becoming Hitler and the leaders of the opposition parties are also being targeted for revenge. Talking to Indian-American community leaders, Rahul Gandhi added that I have received the biggest punishment in a defamation case in the history of India.
He said that I am the first person in the history of the country after 1947 to get a big punishment in this case, I never thought that India will fall into the hands of people who consider cruelty and revenge as the main points of their manifesto. All the opposition parties in India are fighting for democratic values while media and human rights organizations are banned.
He said that the media cannot tell the truth, if someone dares, actions will be taken against him and the state institutions will follow him. Inflation and unemployment are two major serious problems in the country due to which the people are suffering.
