New York: Elon Musk, the owner of companies like SpaceX and Twitter, has long spoken about the potential dangers of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Now once again he has warned that dependence on AI technology can prove dangerous for humanity. He argued that relying on AI technology for routine tasks would create an environment where humans would forget to operate the machines that power the AI technology.
In a tweet, he said that even a harmless reliance on AI/automation can prove dangerous for civilization when we gradually forget how machines work.
Before that, he also shared a link to The Machine Stop, a short science fiction story from 1909 that predicted a future in which humanity is dependent on machines.
He called AI technology more dangerous than vehicles or rockets and said that this technology can destroy humanity.
