Karachi: Army Chief General Syed Asim Mainar has expressed his determination that the action will continue against the measures that harm the economy.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief visited Karachi where he attended the Provincial Apex Committee meeting with caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Maqbool Baqir.
The Army Chief was briefed on the revised National Action Plan, operations in the Kucha area and security of foreign nationals working on private projects, return of illegal foreigners and measures to regularize the currency, Karachi Transformation Plan in the meeting. And progress on SIFC initiatives in Sindh was discussed.
The Army Chief said that the security agencies will continue to act against illegal actions, while action will continue against actions that harm the economy, the economy is being harmed due to illegal actions. General Asim Munir emphasized on the coordination between the departments for the beneficial effects of the initiatives. The participants in the meeting resolved that the state institutions, government departments and the people are united for the development of the province.
