The 356th meeting of the members of the Evacuee Trust Property Board was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Syed Attaur Rahman.
Secretary Board Farid Iqbal gave a briefing, the meeting was attended by Hindu and Sikh members from all over the country including Brigadier (Rtd) Akhtar Nawaz Janjua, Dr. Jawaria Ghazanfar Shahwardi, Sohail Ahmed Raza, Dr. Harilal Bhagia, Krishan Lal, Sardar Pratab Singh, Manmeet Kaur, Sardar Apart from Board, Director Legal Uzmi Shahzadi, Controller Accounts Adeel Ahmed, Additional Secretary Admin Sanaullah Khan, Deputy Secretary Arman Jalal (Land), Deputy Secretary Admin Shahid Bashir and other board officers present in the meeting.
The chairman board while addressing the meeting said that in order to earn better profit from the trust land and properties, it will be given for development & lease as per the stipulated rules for which the Land Property Business Development Committee is rendering its services.
Encroachment on trust properties is a serious crime and strict legal action will be taken against the occupants and facilitators. The chairman board said that steps are being taken to protect, restore and renovate the religious places of worship of the minorities in Pakistan. For the convenience of the pilgrims, the construction of the accommodation complex in Katas Raj has been completed. In the meeting, 38 agenda items including 6x agenda items were placed.
In the meeting, the financial budget for The financial year 2024-2025 was approved which will be sent to the Ministry for final approval, the meeting also approved the funds to purchase heavy missionaries to carry out effective operations against the occupying to demolish the encroachments. The agenda was placed for approval regarding security measures of building of Gudwara Dera Sahib Lahore, installation of electric system in Gurudwara Sacha Sauda Farooqabad, construction of rooms in Guru Dwara Bhai Joga Singh Peshawar, hundred rooms & repairing of washrooms & Guru Dwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib.
The agenda items of various issues including investment advisory committee, amendment of service rules, hiring post of IT officials for Mufti Abdul Shakoor data center were presented before the board for approval. In the meeting, the members appreciated the performance of the board.
