Dubai: The ICC World Cup squad is likely to include 3 additional players in the Pakistan team.

India will host the world’s biggest cricket festival World Cup from October 5, the Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet announced the final names for this event.

The last date for ICC to submit 15 names for the World Cup is September 28, 2023 and in this regard, the names of Pakistan team players are expected to be announced in the next few days.

On the other hand, there are reports that the national team squad in the World Cup will consist of 30 to 32 people, according to the ICC rules, they will be obliged to pay the expenses of 23 people, while the expenses of the remaining people will be borne by the PCB. According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Cricket Board, 3 additional players will also travel along with the 15 players of the team, but these players will not be available for selection and only fifteen names will be considered while selecting the team. According to the PCB spokesperson, 3 additional players can practice with the national team in the World Cup, but they will stay in the hotel on the day of the match and will not be allowed to access the dressing room.
