Punjab Home Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal has said that special security arrangements should be made for upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit (SCO).
He stated this while chairing a meeting in Lahore today.
He said that the Punjab government and all institutions are on full alert in this regard.
He emphasized that all protocols for the security of foreign nationals would be strictly implemented.
He directed that the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and other agencies should adhere to intelligence-sharing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
He also made it mandatory for all private hotels to be connected to the Hotel Eye software.
The Punjab Home Secretary said that national security is the top priority and that enemies of peace will be dealt with firmly.
He said that effective search and combing operations will be conducted to bring miscreants under control.
