Renowned Scholar, Writer, and Poet Ghulam Hussain Graces “Naamwar” Session at Punjab Judicial Academy

Punjab Judicial Academy is hosting a series of literary sessions on the theme of “Naamwar” (Means the Renowned). Today’s session was attended by the renowned Urdu and Punjabi poet, writer, and novelist Mr. Ghulam Hussain.

Director General Punjab Judicial Academy, Mr.Justice (Retd.) Sardar Ahmad Naeem, welcomed the esteemed guest and introduced him to the under training judicial officers. He also briefed the participants about the objectives and significance of this series of literary “Naamwar”sessions. His lordship concluded with remarks that that while a person can acquire wealth, fame, and respect through his inheritance, however, knowledge is only bestowed upon those who are chosen by the Almighty Allah.

Addressing the participants, the chief Guest Mr. Ghulam Hussain pointed that literature reflects a society and highlights its strengths and weaknesses, enabling us to identify and address social ills. Mr. Hussain stressed that to study literature is essential, especially for judges, as it helps them to understand human nature and social injustices . He advised judicial officers to study literature more and more that will enable them to comprehend people’s attitudes, their temperaments, and regional backgrounds, which is crucial for delivering complete justice.

In the end the participants praised Ghulam Hussain’s thought-provoking discussion and appreciated this opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with him.
