Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider says the purpose of the civil service is to serve the people.
He expressed these views during a meeting with the officers of the 36th Senior Management Course from sixteen various departments, led by Chief Instructor of NEPA Islamabad Dr. Samreen Zahra in Lahore today.
He emphasized that officers should strive to provide relief to the people within their departments and play a positive role in the welfare and well-being of the people, as well as development of the country.
He informed that a formal plan has been devised to improve universities.
He emphasised that the government needs to provide more relief to the public in the sectors of education and health.
