The Punjab government has decided to establish the “Punjab Saaf Pani Authority,” and the name of the “Aab-e-Pak Authority” will be changed to “Punjab Saaf Pani Authority.”
This was stated by Parliamentary Secretary for Housing Sultan Mahmood Bajwa while presiding over a meeting at the office of Aab-e-Pak Authority in Lahore today.
He informed that the Punjab Saaf Pani Authority Act has been presented in the Punjab Assembly.
He said that the provision of clean water in Punjab is the top priorities of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Sultan Mahmood Bajwa said that the responsibility of providing clean water in Punjab would be entrusted to a single institution.
He said that Punjab would be divided into three regions.
He said that projects would be initiated equally in Northern, Central and Southern Punjab.
During the meeting, the parliamentary secretary was briefed on the projects of the Aab-e-Pak Authority.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority, Syed Zahid Aziz, along with other officials was also present during the meeting.
