Punjab governor Sardar Saleem Haider said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is a party of the poor, the weak, farmers, laborers, and government employees.
He expressed these views while addressing the PPP Kisan Wing Convention in Gujrat.
He stated that the PPP has always raised its voice for the rights of farmers and small landholders.
He further said that the construction of housing societies on agricultural lands is regrettable, and the Punjab government should take notice of this. He emphasized that industrial zones should indeed be established in Gujrat but only on barren lands
