PJA Initiates Two Simultaneous Training Programs: Pre-Service Training for Newly Appointed Judges

The Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA) has launched two concurrent training programs. The first is a pre-service training course for newly appointed judges, while the second focuses on forensic sciences, medico-legal jurisprudence, post- mortem analysis, and arms and ammunition.

Additionally, the Academy has commenced a comprehensive pre-service training program specifically tailored for newly appointed judicial officers serving in the district judiciary.

While addressing the inaugural session, Justice (Retd) Sardar Ahmad Naeem, Director General of the Punjab Judicial Academy, emphasized the judiciary’s responsibility to uphold justice. He underlined the importance of adhering to merit and fairness, stating that those who deliver justice not only succeed in this life but also in the hereafter. He reminded the participants that being a judge is not merely a job but a sacred trust bestowed by Almighty Allah.

The Director General highlighted the significance of forensic sciences in criminal trials and noted the Academy’s focus on character building. He announced that daily Quranic teachings have been made a compulsory part of the training program. Moreover, the program is specifically designed to address practical aspects of judicial proceedings, including educational visits, the judicial code of conduct, and other relevant topics.

The inaugural session was attended by Muhammad Hafeez Ullah Khan, Advisor and Director Admin of the Punjab Judicial Academy, along with Director Research Bushra Zaman, Director Program Mansor Ahmed khan, Director Development & Project Iram Ayaz, as well as senior instructors.

The forensic sciences training program will run for six days and includes participants such as Additional District and Sessions Judges, Senior Civil Judges, and Civil Judges. Meanwhile, the three-month pre-service training program for newly appointed judicial officers includes two Additional District & Sessions Judges and four Civil Judges.
