Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has directed for immediate up-gradation of Mughalpura Workshop Machinery and installation of new machinery.
He stated this while chairing a meeting at Railways Headquarters in Lahore today.
Speaking on this occasion, he also directed to upgrade wearhouse in workshop for effective monitoring of equipment. He said that conversion to solar system is need of hour and in initial phases railways factories will be shifted on solar system.
The Minister directed to install Furnace Acr Machinery in Steel Shop Mughalpura in current year.
Saad Rafique also directed to make revenue plan from shops in every division.He directed to repair old coaches for availability of coaches. He said train operation is effected badly due to rain and also directed to make strategy for prevention from flood.
The Minister was also briefed about provision of ration to flood affectees in flood hit areas.
