Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman says Right to Information law ensures financial and administrative transparency in government institutions.
He stated this while addressing a ceremony at Governor House in Lahore today.
He said that RTI has a special role for eradication of corruption from government institutions and making effective governance.
On this occasion, Chief Information Commissioner Mahboob Qadir Shah said that RTI law is the key for the establishment of a welfare state.
The Punjab Governor also distributed certificates among thirty-five RTI activists.
