
Caretaker Minister of Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed visited the Evacuee Trust Property Board in Lahore today.
On this occasion, Chairman ETPB Syed Atta ur Rehman briefed the Caretaker Minister of Religious Affairs about revenue of ETPB and urban and rural properties of the department.
He also apprised about development projects and security of Gurdwaras and Mandars.
He informed that as per Pakistan India agreement 7500 Sikhs and one thousand visit the Pakistan. It was informed that ETPB provides scholarships over thirteen million rupees annually to non Muslim students.
Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed said that is a religious and constitutional duty to facilities to minorities.
He directed to increase the number of Sikh and Hindu Yatrees.He directed officials to take more measures for the welfare of minorities.
He urged the officials to work hard to strengthen the Evacuee Trust Property Board.
Aneeq Ahmed said that he will take solid measures to vacate the ETPB lands from land grabbers.
He said that there is a dire need to work for religious tourism to promote the soft image of Pakistan.He regretted that some elements desired to notorious the country and expressed hopes that they will not succeed in those nefarious design.
