The caretaker Federal Minister of Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar directed to shift the entire railways network on online fuel management system.
He stated this while visiting Railways Headquarters in Lahore today.
He directed officials concerned to take effective measures for decrease in fuel expenses. He directed to monitor the usage of fuel digitally and take concrete measures for fuel theft and increase operational efficiency. He directed for supply of fuel in depots in effective manner.
The Railways Minister lauded the efforts of administration for launching crack down against electricity thieves and directed to install meters of concerned electrical supply company in railways residential colonies. He directed to speedup the process of shifting Railways on solar energy.
The Minister was briefed about cost cutting measures in the electrical department. He was also briefed about restoration of railways track that damaged due to flood. The Minister directed to complete Sibi Harnai section by September 30.
He also directed to take measures for improvement in Railways Health Services a maintain railways Carin Hospitals on modern lines. He also directed to open outdoor service of Carin Hospitals for general public. He directed to upgrade the all railways hospitals. He also sought business plan for revenue generation from Railways hospital till next Friday.
