PPP CEC meeting, passed resolution condemning incidents of May 9, demanding severe punishment

Karachi: In the meeting of the Central Executive Committee of PPP, a resolution was passed condemning the incidents of May 9, in which it was demanded that those responsible for these incidents should be brought to justice and punished.

President PPP Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari headed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the hybrid meeting of the CEC of the PPP approved in the condemnation resolution said that the PPP on May 9 in different cities of the country. Strongly condemns the incidents.

The resolution included damaging the Martyrs Memorial in Sargodha, setting fire to Jinnah House Lahore, vandalizing the FC Fort in Dir, breaking the statue of Colonel Sher Khan in Mardan, burning Swat Motorway Toll Plaza, Rawalpindi Metro Station. and destroying Peshawar’s radio station, destroying Chagai model and Edhi ambulances in Peshawar, burning passenger buses in Karachi, while attacking private, government and military properties and sensitive installations across the country to challenge the writ of the state of Pakistan. It was declared as synonymous.

The resolution said that the PPP had been subjected to political revenge for decades, but the PPP never resorted to violence following the instructions of its leadership.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was judicially murdered, Benazir Bhutto, Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto and Mir Murtaza Bhutto were martyred. Benazir Bhutto was beaten many times but PPP always raised the slogan of Pakistan Khape, which is a bright example for political workers of all parties.

In the resolution, the imprisonment of former President Asif Ali Zardari in Piranha during the PTI regime and the transfer of PP Women’s Central President Faryal Talpur from the hospital to prison in the middle of the night, it was said that the result of any political repression. PPP has never staged a protest against the country and its institutions.
