Punjab Chief Minister Chudhary Pervaiz Elahi directed relevant departments to remain alert during rain in provincial metropolis and other cities.
In a statement, he directed Provincial Disaster Management Authority, WASAs and other relevant departments to take effective measures and coordinated effort for drainage of water.
He ordered timely drainage of rainwater from low-lying areas.
He also directed officers to remain in feildand monitor drainage situation. He also directed to make effective arrangements for traffic.
