Pakistan, Saudi Arabia agree to fully activate Road to Makkah agreement

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki met Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan in which they discussed other matters of mutual interest including Pak-Saudi bilateral relations.

In the meeting, it was agreed to review the progress of the Road to Makkah Project agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and finalize the agreement and make it fully functional.

Saudi Deputy Interior Minister will soon visit Pakistan to sign this agreement. Under this project, pilgrims will be provided easy and hassle-free immigration facility.

This project is being started from Islamabad Airport. This year 40 thousand pilgrims will benefit from this project. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said that this facility will be started soon in other big cities so that more and more pilgrims can use this project. can benefit from

On the inquiry of the Interior Minister, the Saudi ambassador assured to make every possible effort for the early release of the Pakistanis imprisoned in the Saudi jails.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have historical, long-standing and fraternal relations, the people of Pakistan have special devotion and love for the Khadim of the Haram Sharif.

The Interior Minister appreciated the efforts of the Saudi Ambassador to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
