Pakistan Navy’s new ship PNS Shah Jahan arrived in Karachi

KARACHI: PNS Shah Jahan, a newly commissioned ship in Pakistan Navy, arrived in Karachi. Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi welcomed PNS Shah Jahan on its arrival in Pakistan’s territorial waters last day. Congratulations to the staff on commissioning.

On the arrival of the ship in Karachi, the crew, officers and sailors’ families participated in the reception ceremony.

PNS Shah Jahan was commissioned in a grand ceremony in Shanghai, China on May 10, in which Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi attended the ceremony as the chief guest.

PNS Shah Jahan visited Malaysia on her maiden voyage and participated in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) which was attended by 30 countries.

PNS Shah Jahan also visited the Sri Lankan port of Colombo with the aim of promoting mutual cooperation between the navies of the two countries, enhancing joint operational capabilities and promoting new opportunities for cooperation.

The Pakistan Navy ship was warmly welcomed by Sri Lankan officials on its arrival in Colombo, Sri Lankan Environment Minister, Chief of Sri Lankan Navy and local people visited the ship.

Senior Sri Lankan Navy officials and Commanding Officer discussed matters of mutual interest, the visit concluded with a joint naval exercise between the countries.
