Ameer Al-Bahr Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi attended the ceremony as Chief Guest, Former First Sea Lord of Royal British Navy and Naval Chief Admiral Lord Alan West as Guest of Honor while Pakistan High Commissioner to UK Dr. Muhammad Faisal hosted the ceremony.

Security sources said that the Amazon or Tariq class type 21 frigate with 30 years of service in the Pakistan Navy, “Former PNS Tariq” before commissioning and joining the Navy in 1993, former PNS Tariq served 18 years in the Royal British Navy. Served as HMS Embuscade for years and participated in the Falklands War with Argentina.

According to sources, the ship “Tarq” is a memorial of the British Navy’s Falklands War with Argentina as a “floating war museum” in the Clyde Maritime Heritage Center in Glasgow, Scotland. It will be put on display as a symbol of the joint naval heritage of the Royal Navy and Pakistan Navy.

According to sources, in his speech at the ceremony, Admiral Lord Alan West called the close relationship and historical agreement between Pakistan, British Navy forces and the people as key.
