The Managing Director National Transmission and Despatch Company, Engr. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, said that NTDC is committed to achieve Digital Transformation by allocating necessary in-house resources for this transition.
He was addressing the “kick-off ceremony” of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, which aimed at Business Automation process of the company.The MD NTDC further said that NTDC started digital transformation journey three years ago. The strategy was to work on short and long-term initiatives to achieve our goal. “I am very pleased to see that the ERP project is finally kicking off. We are now officially starting the implementation of project that would be completed in 18 months’ time period.”It was further elaborated that this is the largest investment in terms of resource allocation with respect to Business Process Automation in NTDC’s history. “I am expecting that all employees shall actively participate, take ownership role and make required contribution. Higher management will be closely monitoring this project’s progress and will facilitate the project team by providing complete support.It was highlighted that this project is funded by the World Bank and M/s. Siemens, Pakistan has won the contract for the Supply, Design and implementation of ERP along with supply and commissioning of Hardware and change management.The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) consists of Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics at the top having front end business operations modules of Project Delivery and Asset Management supported by the core modules of Finance, Supply Chain and Human Resource. Also, Content Management and Enterprise Hardware is also part of the bigger program that includes E-Governance, Team Collaboration, IT Helpdesk Solution and Email & Archival Solution.The Managing Director Siemens, Mr. Markus Strohmeier, CEO Advanta, Markus Schwarz, MD SAP Mr. Saquib Ahmed, Chief Information Officer NTDC, Mr. Tariq Mahmood and Project Director ERP NTDC, Mr. Bilal Sarwar, also addressed the kick off ceremony.
