KARACHI: The generosity of PIA has given over a billion owned hotel in Larkana to the Sindh government without compensation.

It was revealed that PIA-owned Sambara Inn Hotel in Larkana was handed over to the Sindh government outside of the rules and regulations. of Pakistan conducted the Works Department Audit for 2021-22.

PIA estimated the construction cost of the hotel at 60.754 million, State Bank approved appraiser stated the market value of the hotel at 1 billion 15 crore in December 2020. Against the provincial government, the hotel was handed over to the Sindh government without any compensation.

The auditors informed the management in 2022 about the neglect of PIA’s commercial interests, the report should be submitted to the audit after determining the liability, the title of the property should be taken back by PIA. The aviation ministry should take up the matter in the Council of Common Interests.

The PIA management has replied to the auditors that PIA is the legal owner of the property and has all relevant property documents, the case is being pursued through the Aviation Division.
