Final round of talks between PDM and PTI, recommendations presented

ISLAMABAD: The government and Tehreek-e-Insaf put their recommendations in front of each other in the final round of talks on general elections across the country on the same day.

On behalf of the government, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Prime Minister of Law Nazir Tarar, Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq, while Pakistan Peoples Party’s Yusuf Raza Gilani, Syed Naveed Qamar, MQM’s Kishore Zahra and Muslim League-Q’s Tariq Bashircheema are the negotiators. Was part of the team.

On behalf of PTI, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry and Center Ali Zafar held talks, the government delegation was headed by Ishaq Dar, while the PTI delegation was headed by Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

In the third and final round of negotiations, the delegations of ruling alliance and Tehreek-e-Insaf put their recommendations before each other. Earlier, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani invited the negotiation committees of the government and PTI for dinner before the third round of negotiations on the issue of general elections.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani hosted a dinner for the government and PTI delegations. In the dinner, Ishaq Dar, Azam Nazir Tarar, Saad Darfiq, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Naveed Qamar, Yousuf Gilani, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhary and Senator Ali Zafar also attended the dinner. PTI’s negotiating committee comprising Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry and Senator Ali Zafar met.

According to the sources, the overall political situation of the country was discussed in the meeting, Sadiq Sanjrani suggested to resolve the political tensions through dialogue.

Chairman Senate said that political tension is not in the interest of the country and the nation, ending the political tension will end the economic stagnation, all political parties should keep their differences aside and unite in the national interest.
