A delegation of Buffalo Breeders Association met Provincial Minister Livestock Ibrahim Hasan Murad in his office. The delegation was led by the president of the association, Samiullah.
Delegation requested to the Provincial Minister of Livestock, in which establishment of Disease free Zone at Buffalo Research Institute, Pattoki, with collaboration of Livestock Department, Association requested for marketing of their product with the support of the Livestock Department, they requested for annual basis Melas/ Shows so that the foreign investors come to Pakistan and export of our Buffalos dairy products, there should be a Black Gold Club for recognition of unique and winner Buffalo, they also requested the livestock breading service authority should be strengthened with human resources, budget and regularisation at last they also requested the vaccination and treatment of Breeders association animals should be on top priority. The delegation told the provincial minister during the briefing that their association has been registered since 2009 while there are 11000 animals per district in 40 districts and they want to make the protection of buffaloes necessary with the Livestock Department.
On this occasion, Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad said that the Livestock Department will fully cooperate with them and with their cooperation, Pakistani buffaloes will be brought to the world standard. The Provincial Livestock Minister further said that there will be increase the competitions of buffaloes to show the world that our buffaloes have a unique place in the world. Ibrahim Hasan Murad emphasized that department wants to solve their problems on a permanent basis so that the livestock industry can be promoted. On this occasion DG Livestock Dr Syed Nadeem and other relevant persons were also present.
